ANNELIES MEYBAUM
Matthijs Spits is owner and founder of Exelcom. He advises managements of companies and organisations on the promotion of their interests and media contacts. Before Exelcom’s start in 1992 he was already active in the Hague political scene. First as spokesman and adviser at the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Communications in the course of the massive civil engineering ‘Delta Works’, later becoming adviser on international affairs for the Mayor’s municipal executive in the Hague. From 1990 to 1992 he was spokesman for Joop van den Ende at former Joop van den Ende Productions (Endemol) in Aalsmeer. For over twenty years he has been building an extensive network in the political world of the Hague and Europe. Besides this he developed a special network within the Dutch and Belgian print and broadcast media.
ANNELIES MEYBAUM
Affiliated with the consultancy since 1993, Annelies Meybaum is co-owner of Exelcom. Annelies is a political scientist and involved in politics and governmental issues since the mid-1980s. She started her business career with a combined function: personal assistant of a member of the Lower Chamber in the Hague and an assistant to a political party in the council of Amsterdam. Later on she worked for Information and External Affairs for the Hague focusing mainly on public relations and account management. During this period Annelies also established a network in the Hague national and municipal political and governmental bodies.
